Performance is an important part of dance training. It builds self-esteem, self-assurance, and the life skill of feeling comfortable in front of an audience, confidence that can carry into classroom presentations, social situations, and future college or job interviews.
DMSD presents two showcases each year, one in Winter and one in summer. Classes prepare routines for both, but participation is always optional.
Registered families will receive details about dates, costumes, tickets, and other costs as each showcase approaches.

Recital is an opportunity to share hard work with family and friends. It helps students build self-esteem, self-assurance, retention skills, and the experience of working toward something together.
Performance is an invitation, never a requirement. Families receive details about participation, costumes, and tickets from the studio.
